Come celebrate spring in the park with us!
Join us in Hyde Park for our Spring Celebration on Saturday, April 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We'll have lambs to pet, crafts & games for kids, planting activities, and plants and seeds to share with you!
Activities include guided photography of plants and animals and entering them in the Global City Nature Challenge through iNaturalist. Check out their website for more information, and download their app if you haven't already! It's a great source for information about the amazing natural world that surrounds us and thrives in our urban environment.
We'll also have live music by Marty & Gary, a Tree Talk, and a Native Plant Activity in our Pilgrim Labyrinth & Butterfly Garden.
Kids can play games to learn about invasive plants and saving seeds, as well as pet and feed the lambs from our partner Good Oak's flock of hair sheep at the new Midwest Center for Regenerative Agriculture at Powell Gardens. Enter to win our free drawing to win tickets to visit Powell Gardens and other fun prizes!
The first 50 folks will get to take home our FREE signature "Native Plant Grenades," guaranteed to thrive and spread in your pollinator garden, sun or shade!
We'll be in Hyde Park at 38th & Gillham. Parking is available on the northbound side of Gillham and along side streets east of Gillham.
