Pilgrim Labyrinth &
Butterfly Garden
Features
HISTORY
Our park vision began with George Kessler's
design entree into his famous Kansas City parks and boulevards system. Today, our paths closely follow Kessler's design, updated with a respectful nod to its history.
The
LABYRINTH
Not only a beautiful work of art, our labyrinth is also supportive of
your well-being.
Our soothing design makes this labyrinth the perfect place for walking meditation and life contemplation.
The
BUTTERFLY
GARDEN
Our garden features plants and flowers that are not only beautiful, but support the declining monarch population. Our garden and labyrinth provide monarch butterflies with a critical habitat to assist with their migration path.
The
Current Programs
View a .pdf file of the common name, botanical name, and a photograph of all native species featured in the garden.
Our Thanks
The Pilgrim Labyrinth & Butterfly Garden is sustained by the Dawn Lindsey Memorial Fund. Planning and installation of this project would not have been possible without the generous financial support of The Mader Foundation, The Uryasz Family Fund, and The Home Depot Foundation, and through our partnership with the Kansas City Missouri Parks and Recreation Department.
